Participants Guide
Our primary objective is to promote a positive, inclusive, and relaxed environment in which players of all skill levels can learn the game and have fun putting their skills to the test in friendly competition with their peers.
We utilize the (Ontario) Provincial Women's Softball Association rules, to allow the competitive players to develop their skills on a par with their peers throughout the province while inserting a local flair encompassing modifications to enable the beginners to enjoy themselves and improve their knowledge and skills relating to the game.
All players, coaches, parents, and spectators are expected to follow the respective Codes of Conduct outlined here. These expectations apply to games, practices, clinics, and all league-related activities.
Coaches
  1. As with any other sport, softball should be fun.
  2. Treat all players with respect and understanding. Always encourage them to do their best.
  3. The rules of the game must be respected. Neither you nor your players should seek to evade or break either the spirit or the letter of those rules.
  4. The only advantage that should be sought is that of superior skill.
  5. Treat opponents, spectators, and officials with respect and courtesy.
  6. Accept umpire decisions calmly and encourage your players to do the same.
  7. Always model good sportsmanship.
  8. Remember, if your team does its best, both winning and losing can be a positive experience.
  9. Remember the Golden Rule “Treat others the way you want to be treated”.

The league reserves the right to address conduct that does not align with these guidelines in a fair and respectful manner, with the goal of maintaining a safe and positive environment for all participants.
